Chocolate Hazelnut Date Balls
A healthy sweet treat. Great for when you need quick little bite to tied over your hunger.

  • 10 datessoftened in hot water
  • 1cup ground hazelnuts, roasted or rawor leftover ground hazel nuts from making hazelnut milk, dried in the oven
  • 1/4 cup unsweetend cacao powder or cocoa powder
  • 1tbsp maple syrup (or honey if not virgin)or more to taste
  • pinch sea salt
  1. First, soften your dates in hot water for about 10 minutes. Then drain.
  2. If using whole hazelnuts, pulse them in a food processor until a course meal forms and measure out 1 cup.
  3. Add dates, ground hazelnuts, cacao powder, maple syrup, and salt to the food processor. Process until the ingredients are combined and a ball forms.
  4. Roll into balls slightly smaller than a golf ball.
  5. If desired, roll in additional ground hazelnuts or cacao powder.
  6. Store in the fridge for about a week or in the freezer for several months.
