Blueberry Recovery Smoothie

January 2,2017

Happy New Year! I have been on a smoothie kick lately! I know it is cold out this time of year but I don’t mind. Smoothies are my jam right now. This Blueberry Recovery Smoothie is packed with antioxidants and is the perfect recovery drink post workout.

Do you guys make New Year Resolutions? I don’t. I usually make goals on an as needed basis and if I do make resolutions I usually make them around my birthday. Last year I did make two fitness goals. The first to foam roll and stretch more. That was mostly a fail, although I did try some more at the beginning of the year. The second was to PR a half marathon. That was a huge success as I shaved over a minuet of my time.

I have been taking a break from a formal workout routine and don’t have any specific goals this year. But I am itching to train for something again. After lots of gingerbread lattes and cookies I am ready for a Blueberry Recovery Smoothie.

I love to drink this Blueberry Recovery Smoothie post long run of bike ride. It is packed full of protein and antioxidants to help with recover.  It also tastes amazing and is nice and cold and refreshing. What do you like to eat/drink post workout? I would love to hear your favorites.
