Happy Friday! Things have been quiet over here. I just wanted to pop in for a quick life update and share some link love from around the web. Our puppy, Reina, got spayed last Thursday so we have been hanging out at home during the recovery. She is doing great and should be cleared to resume normal activity on Sunday. She hated her cone so much. Thankfully she hasn’t gone after her stitches, so we just didn’t use it. We did monitor her very closely over the first 72 hours though. Our vet is super cute and sent a get well soon card. Apparently, the pain medicine taste good. Reina gobbles it up and asks for more.
I am off to New York this afternoon. For about 24 hours. I am popping into the NYC Marathon Expo to meet Shalane Flanagan and Elyse Kopecky, the authors of Run Fast. Eat Slow. I am so excited since I am a huge fan of this book and cook from it all the time! Check Instagram on Saturday to see my pics.
My very good friend that lives on Long Island just bought a house with her husband. They are kindly letting me stay with them. I can’t wait to see them and their new home.
Be on the look out for another oatmeal recipe on Sunday!
There have been some great posts around the internet lately that I must share with you. I want to try them all!
Oatmeal <3 for breakfast. So many good flavors.
These muffins would be great for breakfast or snack.
A great Thanksgiving side dish!
I made these pumpkin snickerdoodles for dessert. They are great! I used spelt flour because I was out of whole wheat.
These donuts would make a great special treat!
