Loving Lately – Local Businesses Plymouth, MA

Hello, I just wanted to pop in and say hello to share some links of things I have been loving lately and some local businesses I have been exploring.

A co-worker made this for a Chopped style contest at our company’s health fair. It was amazing. She added chopped apple with the squash and used dried cranberries instead of pomegranates.

This looks like a great appetizer for a party. I might make it this weekend.

Perfection for a date night dinner.

The puppy got spayed this week. It went well but she struggles with the cone. I am spending lots of time with her.

Last weekend I spent a bunch of time down Plymouth waterfront with my sister. I love sister dates and we met three really interesting business owners. I love being able to support local business owners. First we went to 1620 Wine Bar. I had been wanting to try it all summer. We did a tasting and then got drinks and a beautiful cheese plate. I wish I had snapped a picture but I was too busy enjoying myself. One of the owners served us during the tasting and gave us great recommendations.

Then we went to an upscale consignment shop called Upscale ReSail . I got a cute dress for $14 that I can wear to work and a cute bracelet. My sister got the cutest marble coasters. If she hadn’t bought them, I would have. The owner offered us a glass of champagne. Turns out Saturday’s are Champagne Saturdays. We turned it down because we had just been at the wine bar but another time I will happily partake.

Sunday morning we went to Anna Maria’s Desert Cafe for breakfast because we had seen them advertise gluten free breakfast sandwiches and my sister is allergic to wheat. The sandwiches were good as were the Spiced White Bourbon Latte’s the owner convinced us to buy. My sister also got a gluten free whoopee pie and I got tiramisu to eat later in the day. The tiramisu was great. It was so fun talking to all these local business owners. I definitely plan on being a repeat customer at all of these places.

I am working on some allergy friendly candy. Hopefully it will turn out well and I can share it before Halloween.
